Brief:
OMM was approached to create original team branding for a youth basketball team in Grosse Pointe, MI. The look was meant to reflect the mascot for the local high school, Grosse Pointe South, but be more fun and engaging for the younger audience and team that it represents.

Solution:
Within the discovery process, it was determined that the combination of a basketball with a “devil’s face” was not only going to quickly communicate what sport the Little Blue Devils play but also reflect an aggressive and fun attitude.
When one angle of the basketball was shown, it created somewhat of a furrowed brow; following this, the rest of the aggressive yet light-hearted mark came to light. We added movement to the typography and added flames to further emphasize movement.
