Brief:
The BMC2 Cardiovascular Consortium (Blue Cross Blue Shield Cardiovascular Consortium), a collaborative consortium of health care providers dedicated to improving quality of care and outcomes for cardiovascular patients across the State of Michigan, work to assess and improve the outcomes of several distinct cardiovascular procedures. This includes patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR), a significant range of vascular procedures, as well as cardiac rehab utilization after PCI and TAVR.
BMC2 collaborates with the Michigan Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons (MSTCVS) to improve quality of care and patient outcomes via a quality improvement project titled Michigan TAVR. Upon the expansion of the scope of work done via this collaboration, a new name was created; the Michigan Structural Heart Consortium (MISHC).
BMC2’s Program Manager approached OMM to develop a logo for MISHC that was professional, clean and would work well when combined in multiple-logo-mockups.
Solution:
After multiple discussions with the stakeholder team and Program Manager, it was determined that a visual that specifically related to heart valves would properly convey their work at a high level.
This was a great example of the best kind of collaboration as it directly inspired mark’s design. Utilizing the inner descenders of the letter “M”, OMM combined a basic heart shape that accurately conveyed the look of heart valves. A color palette was then chosen to compliment but not compete when used within multiple-logo-mockups.
